Featuring Grade 1

Grade 1 spent time exploring the artwork of Faith Ringgold. We were inspired by her story and quilt Tar Beach. In the story, Cassie Louise Lightfoot imagines that she can fly over the city. Students imagined and then created images of themselves flying over a city. Students then installed their artwork in the main hallway of the school.
