Kinderagrten in fall!



Kindergarten explored the colors of autumn. Students used torn paper and brown bags to create paper sculptures of trees.

Op Art in Grade 3






Students in grade 3 have been studying the art of Bridget Riley. Riley created optical illusions during the Op Art movement. Her fanciful designs were often based on her love of nature.

Students gathered inspiration from Bridget Riley and their own emotions. They then used what they learned about line, pattern, and Op Art to create their own artwork.

Grade 4 Relief Sculptures





Inspired by the work of modern artist Frank Stella, grade 4 created relief sculptures. Students drew free-form shapes and embellished them with bright colors and patterns. Then bent and stapled their papers to create relief sculptures.

Tessellations







Grade 5 studied the artwork of M. C. Escher and created their own tessellations. Like many other tessellations, students transformed their shapes into natural objects.
